beauty fact or fiction: you don't need sunscreen since your foundation is applied over it

Bopha Mom-Baccam - Friday, June 19, 2015

Fiction! Wearing foundation alone will not protect you from harmful rays since the sun penetrates your foundation and gets to the skin. And although a foundation that contains SPF is beneficial, it still does not provide enough coverage so skipping sunscreen is not an option.

A better decision would be finding a sunscreen that offers enough protection and applying it before your foundation. Sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays and an SPF rating of at least 15 is best. Apply a thin, even coat over your face, ears and neck, letting the sunscreen soak into skin before applying your normal foundation.

Do this and we guarantee your skin will be happy and healthy this summer!
